Surprisingly, Mike said he could come in an hour or so that day, so I agreed. He arrived on schedule and installed the 2 sided deadbolt which, again, I provided. The charge was $250, which seemed high. An email invoice explained that there had been an emergency service fee charged in addition to labor, though there had never been any stated urgency. The double deadbolt was not tested from both sides before he left. When I did try to use the lock my key didn’t work from inside the door, only the outside. He installed only one side of the deadbolt. The screws were also missing on that side. The manufacturer keys, screws and packaging were removed and disposed of. He did offer to fix the issue but by this time I’d felt taken advantage of, and also uncertain of the outcome. I felt it necessary to call, resolve the issue, and pay, a different locksmith company to fix the issue the same day.
